What’s New and Noteworthy
WebGUI Updates
- Improved CPU Detection: Dashboard now more accurately detects newer Intel CPUs.
- Notification Agents: Fixed dropdown menu not functioning in tabbed mode.
- Temperature Display: Resolved a visual error affecting temperature data in notifications.
Storage Improvements
- Auto File System Pools: All slots in a pool must now be populated when File System Type is set to Auto.
- New Config Workflow: When using “New Config” with Preserve Assignments, the number of pool slots will now match the number of disks.
- Dataset Handling: Improved behavior if a zfs destroy fails due to a busy dataset (it will attempt to remount).
- Share Creation Logic: Shares created without a config file now only store data on eligible pools.
- DeviceInfo Panel: “Pool Device Status” section only appears when the pool is actually mounted.
- Empty Disk Conversion: Share data remains visible on the target disk during the operation. [See updated Converting to a new file system type].
- Mover Script Update: Removed -e option from the mover script—use the webGUI instead.
- SMART Logging: Reduced excess logs related to drive spin down and SMART tests.
Miscellaneous Fixes & Enhancements
- Windows Network Discovery: Improved WSD/NetBIOS discovery so Unraid appears correctly in Windows’ Network view.
- Machine ID Generation: /boot/config/machine-id is now auto-generated and applied to /etc/machine-id on boot.
- WSD Patch: Patched wsdd2 to function even when “Host access to custom networks” is enabled.(Note: Discovery still typically fails when Tailscale is in use.)

- Linux Kernel: 6.12.54-Unraid (no version change from 7.2.0).
- Updated Packages:
- lshw updated to version B.02.20
- wsdd2 updated to a patched 1.8.7 build
