Version 7.2.0 rc.1 Full Release Notes
We’ve hit a major milestone in the Unraid 7.2 cycle: Release Candidate 1 is now live . This update builds on the work from earlier betas, bringing stability, polish, and the final round of refinements before 7.2 goes stable.
Unraid 7.2 introduces major new features alongside significant fixes and refinements. Here are some of the the highlights:
The entire interface now adapts automatically to any screen size, making Unraid fully usable on phones, tablets, and desktop monitors.
The API is now part of the OS itself. It powers the new Notifications panel and lays the foundation for more in-GUI integrations and automation. Check out some of the community-driven features already being built.
Grow single-vdev ZFS RAIDZ1/2/3 pools one drive at a time without taking your array offline.
Unraid now supports Ext2/3/4, NTFS, and exFAT in addition to XFS, BTRFS, and ZFS—making migration and drive reuse more flexible and convenient.
You can now sign into the webgui with your Unraid.net account or any OIDC provider.
With this new program, you can build features you want to see, contribute to the open ecosystem, and get rewarded for your work.
The Main page now alerts you if drives are formatted with ReiserFS (deprecated in 7.3) or older XFS versions (to be retired by 2030), so you can plan ahead.
See the Converting to a new file system type section of the Unraid Docs for details.
